DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Ruskington Campus

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Technician to help with the smooth running of the Design and Technology Department at the Ruskington campus.

Salary: NJC Scale 1, points 1-3 £5,968.70-£6,209.66 (actual)
Hours: 15 hours per week, 3 hours per day Monday to Friday
Contract Basis: Fixed term for 1 year in the first instance. 39 weeks per year
Closing Date: 9am on Wednesday 29 January 2020

Duties will include maintaining and cleaning equipment; pre-class preparation for displays and exercises; ensuring equipment and materials are available for staff and that work areas are kept clean and tidy and support staff within the new Construction Academy currently being built at the Ruskington Campus.  A willingness to be flexible, a cheerful disposition and an interest in technology are required.  Current and relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

St George’s Academy is a large, successful, 11-18 mixed secondary school of 2,200 students (including 331 in the sixth form and 452 on our Ruskington Campus) with outstanding facilities in all areas. Allowances: An additional teaching and learning responsibility and associated TLR payment may be considered for a Teacher ready to take the next step in their career

APPRENTICE ICT TECHNICIAN (2 Positions)

We are seeking to appoint two Apprentice ICT Technicians. The successful candidates will be supported to undertake and complete a Level 2 ICT qualification in partnership with Lincoln College.  Progression to a Level 3 role would be considered as a next step to support continued development.

Contract Basis:        37 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Hours:                       Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm
Duration:                  12-18 month apprenticeship
Salary :                     National Apprentice Rate: £3.90 per hour
Closing Date:           9am Monday 27 January 2020

You will support the ICT Support Technicians who manage over 1800 devices and 80 virtual servers work across two campuses.  Typical duties will include call logging; problem solving; installation, configuration, repairing and upgrading ICT equipment (hardware and software); periodic printer maintenance; basic network implementation; setting up ICT bookings; auditing; updating support manuals and creating user guides. Existing knowledge of hardware and software maintenance would be advantageous.

Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular MS Word, Excel, Outlook is essential.

INVIGILATORS REQUIRED

Salary £8.21 per hour

Casual Worker Agreement

We are seeking to recruit reliable and highly organised individuals to assist with public examinations.

Responsibilities will include greeting and seating candidates, distribution and collection of examination papers, invigilation of examination sessions and ensuring compliance with exam board regulations at all times.

The hours would be by arrangement throughout the examination seasons.
