Students must be in education or training until the end of the academic year in which they turn 18. St George’s Academy students have access to and can apply for:

Local Schools / Colleges

Apprenticeships

Part-time education or training if they are employed, self-employed or volunteering for 20 hours or more a week.

Post 18 Pathways

During Year 13, your son or daughter can apply for university, employment, apprenticeships, college or a gap year. Click on the links below for further information. The Futures Team assist students with personal statement writing, university applications, CV and cover letter writing, searching and applying for apprenticeships and employment. 

UCAS stands for Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. It’s the centralised service that students use to apply to university and some degree courses at college. Applying for university and UCAS is launched to students in Term 6 of Year 12.
