Run For All and all for one
Twenty four members of St George’s staff joined over 5000 runners at the City of Lincoln 10k 2017. Representing the Academy were teachers, learning support assistants, admin staff and support technicians of varying ages and abilities. Some were taking part in their first 10K, whilst others are seasoned runners, and I am happy to announce that many personal best times were broken along the way. As well as simply supporting a local event, staff wanted to lead by example and encourage others about getting involved, keeping fit and hopefully think about joining some of our amazing local clubs.
For more information about the Lincoln 10K, visit the website here: http://www.runforall.com/10k/city-of-lincoln/
If you are thinking about running, why not join one of the local clubs:
Sleaford Striders (All Ages) - http://www.sleafordstriders.org.uk/
Sleaford Town Runners (Adults) - http://www.sleafordtownrunners.co.uk/
or if you fancy having a go at a triathlon, Tri3 Sleaford http://www.tri3sleaford.co.uk/
Alternatively, Parkrun is a fun way to keep fit at the weekend - http://www.parkrun.org.uk/
A big congratulations to all the staff who were involved, especially Mr Freeman who was the first St George’s staff member home with an amazing time of 41 minutes and 37 seconds.
If you fancy a really big challenge, the Sleaford Half Marathon take place shortly on 7th May 2017. For more information, visit their website at http://www.sleafordhalf.com/
