Outstanding New Teacher of the Year
Despite being her first year as a fully qualified teacher, one of our History teachers, Miss Welsh, has been nominated for the Pearson National Teaching Awards, as the "Outstanding New Teacher of the Year”.
Miss Welsh is one of many success stories to come through the St George’s Partnership Teacher Training programme (if you are thinking about getting into teaching, click here to find more information: https://www.teacher-training.org/)
A certificate and formal letter was presented to her by our Principal, Dr Birks, and Miss Welsh said she was “incredibly humbled by the nomination” and went on to say that she felt that there were “so many other great teachers around the Academy who also deserve such recognition”.
We wish to congratulate Miss Welsh on the nomination, and think it is a well-deserved accolade.
