MashUp! Ensemble - Free Whole Class Instrumental Tasters
In partnership with St George's Academy, your child will have 6 whole class instrumental taster lessons this term delivered by tutors from the award winning Lincolnshire Music Service. In this exciting new initiative children will be given the opportunity to try a woodwind, brass or string instrument in their class music lessons. Lincolnshire Music Service are offering this initiative across all secondary schools in the south of Lincolnshire.
To support this learning we are running a special MashUp! ensemble at our Music Centre at KSHSSA on Tuesdays from 4:15 - 5:15. These sessions are free for pupils involved in the year 7 whole class sessions. In addition, those who choose to enrol in the after school band can borrow an instrument free for the first term.
The MashUp! ensembles are the perfect introduction to playing a musical instrument in a social setting. Making new friendships, enhancing current ones, learning to play ensemble music and having fun whilst learning are core features of these ensembles. We believe your son/daughter could benefit hugely from joining this group, especially if they are currently involved in one of our year 7, whole-class MashUp! projects at school.
If you wish to attend, all we ask is that you email: email@example.com to let us know, and we can ensure there is an instrument there for you to play on.

We believe if you care about growing children properly you should grow them with music! Why not give us a try?
