The LiNCHigher team, in association with Bauer Academy, brought their double decker roadshow bus to Ruskington so the students could partake in a number of interactive media-industry based workshops. The workshops involved the use of filming and audio recording equipment. The aim was to raise aspirations and introduce students at an early age to LiNCHigher who are an external provider in Lincolnshire of Careers advice and apprenticeships. They have previously supported our Options evenings and Year 11 events.
The students really enjoyed it. They found out about how they can all access higher education should they wish too, and they dispelled some old myths like ‘I cannot go to University because I cannot afford it’. The students then produced hashtags and promotions for LINChigher as well as creating a radio advert promotion explaining reasons to go to University.
