Year 13 students at St George’s Academy are celebrating their impressive results today at the end of their A Level and Vocational courses in the Sleaford Joint Sixth Form.  

Amanda Money, Principal at the Academy, commented “We are absolutely delighted.  Our students have worked incredibly hard throughout their time with us at St George’s Academy to achieve such fantastic results.  We are proud of every single student – they have demonstrated great talent, determination, and resilience to earn the grades that they need for their next steps.”

She added “We are very proud of our broad curriculum at St George’s Academy.  The excellent grades achieved by the students span a range of subjects, from Childcare and Education to Health and Social Care, Music, Performing Arts, Sociology, Law, Business, Criminology, alongside the more traditional subjects like Maths, Science, English and History.  We are delighted that almost 40% of the grades achieved by our Year 13 at A Level were at the highest possible grades - A* or A (or equivalent for vocational courses).  An impressive 77% of the overall grades achieved were at the equivalent of A*-C.  In terms of exceptional performers, thirteen of our Year 13 students achieved a full set of grades at either A or A* (or equivalent) this year, going on to study at a range of universities including Warwick, Lincoln, York, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Leeds Conservatoire."

Leonie Blackbourn is going to the Newcastle University to study Politics and Sociology, after having achieved A*ADi* in Sociology, English Language and Literature, and Music.

Harry Jones and Gracie Gabriel are both going to Leeds Conservatoire to study Music, Harry achieved DiDiM in Double Music and Travel & Tourism, and Gracie Di*Di*M in Double Music and Performing Arts.

Amelie Bond is going to University of Manchester to study Pharmacy after having achieved A*AB in Geography, Biology and Chemistry.

Olivia Ingrey and Jess Westwood celebrating their fantastic results – Olivia achieved ADi*Di* in Criminology and Double Music, and Jess achieved Di*Di*Di in Art & Design, Digital Media and Applied Science. Jess is going on to study Fashion Photography at Nottingham Trent University.
